Eric's Story

My family moved from Morada in the middle of my junior year, to Nampa Idaho. After graduation I (initially) passed on college and joined the army. I got smarter, left the army and went to college. I did my undergrad (math/physics) at Humboldt State and then grad school (math) at Montana State. In grad school I interned at Los Alamos National Lab and stayed there after graduation. ce then I have worked at Idaho, Lawrence Livermore and Berkeley National Labs, primarily in high performance computing and scientific visualization. A few years ago I took a job as a Principal Architect at Microsoft in Redmond, WA. My wife and I have been married for 30 years and have two sons, both now graduates from the University of Idaho and both attending grad school in Portland.
