Eric's Story

Life I retired from the Dept of Corrections in July 2002, and have been taking care of all of those long-overdue items like traveling, sleeping, being creative...I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. I've been married for 26 years; Sue and I have a son and a daughter, the former graduating in civil engineering this June, and the latter gainfully employed as a school counselor. We feel very fortunate. I play clarinet in a wind quintet, and sing in a mixed quartet called Random Acts of Harmony. Sue does massage therapy, likes to rollerblade, and is an artist. 20 acres of pine trees. Update: At this writing, it is 2014, and I've been retired for 12 years. Sue and I do a lot of traveling--camping and hiking in the United States, and mostly cruises for overseas travel. I still spend a lot of time playing music, and enjoy building projects locally, although some of the lumber is getting heavier these days. We have 4 grandchildren, the oldest of whom is starting 2nd grade. I am looking forward to meeting some of the people I went to school with at next year's reunion, although I hope we all have name tags, as I've hardly seen any of my classmates since graduating from high school half a century ago.

8" of new snow by this afternoon at the house in Janesville. Needed an hour to chain up the truck with my hand still in a cast, but the drag made a good clear path. Perfect conditions for using the drag--25 degrees, frozen
Why can't I watch TV? 14" and still snowing.
Had 8" of new snow at house in Janesville last night, followed by rain, which makes for a heavy pudding. The drag is still working well on the driveway, however.
