Eric's Story

Life Wow, this makes me feel old! Almost 38, but still feel 18, and sometimes act the same. I have two wonderful, beautiful and amazing daughters. Kayla, the oldest at 11, and Miranda who will be 4 in April. Kayla is a Momma's girl and Miranda is a Daddy's girl. She is my little road dog, first thing I hear when I get home from work is "DADDY!" Nothing could be sweeter. I thought HS was a learning experience, I can safely say that it did not even come close in preparing me for what life had in store. Life has been a trip, I have had my highs and more than a fair share of lows. I have been to places I never dreamed I would go, and done things I am proud of, and some things not so much. But the one thing that I have learned through it all is that all my life's experiences have made me who I am today. And you know what, that's just fine with me. I don't regret my past, and I don't worry about the future, I stay grounded in the moment. I recognize a lot of the names I have seen here, some I would say were friends back in the day, others probably don't remember who I was. Either way I would like to say hello to all and I welcome anyone who would like to share their lives. To me this is more interesting than Britney shaving her head and going to rehab. I would rather know what has happened to those of you, than the lives of celebrities. So be adventurous, drop me a line. - Eric School High School was a trip for me. I guess I would have to describe it as very awkward. I never fit in, or at least did not feel like I fit in. I was smart, and in...Expand for more
those days, no one cared about smart kids. Eventually I tuned in and dropped out. Smoked weed in the Cemetery and cigarettes in the back parking lot by my JR year. Started going to punk gigs in Chico and dropping LSD. Man, those were fun times. Some would say I fell in with the wrong crowd, but if you were to say that today, then we would still be in high school. I can say I made some great friends, some very close and special friends who are still very close and special today The only teachers I really remember was Mr. Bailey, I always liked him because I figured he smoked weed. Also remember the Vice Principle, Mr. Perez? and of course the Yard Narc's because they would always bust me being late for class. Bet you didn't know I went from a 3.8gpa my first 2 years to the worst attendance record of the entire school by the end of my JR year (not kidding). School bored me, it was much funner going up to Dean Rd. and sitting on the rocks, or driving to Chico for the day. It was probably a bad idea for me to have a car at that age. Basically High School was High School. Workplace I have worked in the computer industry or IT for the past 18+ years. If it has to do with computers, I have done it at one time or another. My favorite would be Network Ops, networking is my field of expertise. Currently I work for a company called Auctiva.com. They are a 3rd party developer for eBay, providing complete selling solutions. I also have my own business for the past 4 years doing in home computer repair, service, training, networking, etc.
