Erica's Story
I guess I was always pretty "quiet" and a fairly good student. I went to San Francisco State College, 1968-72, during the riots.
I moved to Yreka, CA, where I worked in a title company for almost 10 years. Then I moved to Portland, Oregon, where I also worked for a title company for almost another 10 years. But during that time, I became a Christian and met my dear husband, Ben M. Kennedy, a Viet-Nam vet and a wonderful artist.
We have four kids, whom we home schooled K-12. Our two sons both graduated college and are in seminary working on their master's degrees. Our oldest daughter is still an undergrad, and our youngest daughter is anticipating her upcoming wedding in a few months. Both of the boys are married, and we have a beautiful granddaughter who was born 5-1-09.
My interests center on my family and my faith. I teach in our church (Independent Fundamental Baptist) in children's discipleship programs. I love my ...Expand for more
garden, although arthritis limits my activities there. We are blessed with a large yard (1 1/2 acres) and enjoy the wildlife that shares it with us.
Ben and I have also operated a fine arts studio and print our own work. We have a website. You can find it by googling my husband's name. We also published an artbook a few years ago. Ben is an airplane mechanic, but hopes to retire in a few years, if the government doesn't fall apart first. We will need our social security, and both of our other pensions come from or through the government.
We are looking forward to the imminent return of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I hope you are ready for His return. If you are not, you need to trust in Jesus' sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection for your forgiveness from sin. Nothing YOU can do will save you from judgment, including church membership, baptism or good works. Only Jesus' blood can wash away your sin, as it did mine.
