Ericka's Story
After I graduated High School I moved to Port Orange, Florida to meet my father. I stayed and worked there for about 3 years then moved back to California.
After being here for about a month I met someone through a friend and he asked me to move to Illinois with him via Tucson, AZ. I said yes and on New Years day I flew out to Tucson to see him.
We stayed there for awhile then road tripped it back to Charleston, IL. I stayed there for awhile then in April I discovered that I was pregnant and everyone was moving out of the house. We quickly became homeless and jobless...not to mention we did not have a vehicle. In October we decided to get married and on January 17th our Daughter Josie was born. fell through and we were on hard times again. I bartended for a little bit, but it didn't help. He finally got a job contracting out in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. He left in Aug and asked that I join him asap. In early Nov I finally got the money and the house and everything back in the states in order, got our passports, and flew out to meet him with our daughter Josie. After a 25 hour journey we were finally in Bishkek.
Now we live here and hopefully in about a year we will be back in the states. Hopefully we can get all our things out of storage in AZ and move them to CO where we hope to finally settle down and buy a house.
I am currently attending online school through The University of Phoenix and working towards my Bachelors in Communications.
Hopefully all goes well and we will see our family and friends in the states again :)
