Steve's Story
Life
After school I took the rest of 1976 off, Romantisizing Jack Kerouac and others I hitched a ride on freight trains and semi's, hitting most all the lower 48. I took day work and sold plasma for beer money. I found quick there are lots of hard work jobs that let you travel in a better style. I met some wonderfull people over the next few years working in the Oilfield, and heavy construction and as a Inspector down in Texas and around the Gulf coast. Went to welding school after mom died and ended up down in Austrailia for most of the 1980's. I had a wife while there and learned there was more to life and it's proper living then I had previously thought. A decade in a far off country made me much more self reliant, and a much humbler man. While there I furthered my education a bit, got some more experience in Quality Assurance and Construction. In 1990 I returned back to the states. g the re-fueling outage circut of the nuclear power plants. In 2000 I took a position with TIC The Industrial Company as a Quality Assurance Quality Control Manager and have been assisting our team on projects all over the country that have included combined cycle power plants in Alabama,Mississippi and Arizona to a mine site Gold Mill in remote Nevada and currently at a major clean fuel project at the Denver Suncor refinery. All these have one thing in common I still get to travel quite a bit. For all of you who knew me I send you my thanks because the best I have inside me was allways learned from wonderfull people like yourselves. Most wont even remember me but weather you do or not -I do remember you all and feel greatfull and fortunate to have met you. I hope someone who reads this will someday contact me. It would be wonderfull to hear from someone I know. I wish all of you reading this the best in everything and hope life has been kind to you as it has for me. May God bless you all and your families with peace , happiness and joy for all the days of you life. - (Leif) Stephen L. Erickson
