CLASS OF 1987

Erik's Story

My story huh? Let's see, graduated in 87 from HBHS. Went to work for the family business full time in Downey, CA. Got married the first time at 20 (too young). Got divorced at 23. Took some time and traveled through Europe. Had a blast. Took some vocational schooling to learn CAD. Met up with an old girlfriend shortly after. Got re-married. We are coming up on our 15 year anniversary. Kids have never entered into the picture. I have three nephews though and I strive to be the best uncle ever. We live in Huntington Beach in a great neighborhood near the pier. Listening to the waves crashing at night helps me sleep. I'm still with the family business. My father is looking to retire. succession. I am approaching 40 now. Time seems to be rapidly moving along. My wife and I enjoy alot of outdoor activities. We like going to the mountains and deserts for vacation. We own a second home in Lake Havasu City, AZ and spend alot of our summer time there. During the winter we enjoy Lake Tahoe. As for any hobbies I have a few. One that consumes quite a bit of my time is the Orange County Transporter Organization (OCTO). It's a car club dedicated to the restoration and preservation of 1967 and earlier Volkswagen buses. As the current president, it keeps me busy. Life has definately had its peaks and valleys, but things for the most part have been good. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. I wish everyone the best.
