Erin's Story
Life
I have been married to the best husband in the world for over 20 years now. Terry Martin, Edison class of 82. We have two girls in college now. It's hard to believe that I could have two girls in college when I am only 29... Oh yeah, I guess that wouldn't fly in here.
Our oldest has special needs and is attending Ivy Tech and our baby just left for Bethel College a couple weeks ago. I really miss her. They grew up way too fast. They both attended Edison. The baby just graduated with honors (she certainly was a better student than I ever was), She was a varsity cheerleader and was the District president for DECA with Mr. Kincaid as her advisor. Kinda weird huh? There are several teachers still there that we had. My girl had Miss Goza, Mr. Long, Miss J., Miss G., Miss Shivley, and Mr. Kreager along with a couple others.
I work as a social worker for the Family...Expand for more
and Youth Service Bureau of Porter County. I have been there for about 10 years working with "at-risk" families. My husband and I are involved with various ministries through our church and in the community. In my "spare time" I volunteer at Edison. I have taught life skills in health class and make all the costumes for the school plays. I started making the costumes while my youngest was there and just decided to continue. Working with the kids in drama is great fun. It brings back alot of memories from when I was in the school play (I only had one line, and I messed it up!) Oh well, it has still been lots of fun helping the kids.
I don't have a lot of memories from High school. It was a long time ago. If you had some that you would like to share with me, send me an E-mail. I guess there isn't going to be a 20 year reunion. Hope all of you are happy and healthy.
