Erin's Story
Life
As an Air Force brat I traveled a lot in my youth. I went to Hanscom Middle School on Hanscom AFB from 1979-1983 and Bedford High in Bedford, MA from '83-'84. We then moved to MS, where I went to Biloxi High from '84-'87 and Ole Miss for a year ('87-'88). I moved to CO for a few years and attended CSU in Ft. Collins ("88-'90) before moving to Albuquerque, NM where my family had moved for my dad's final PCS. I graduated from UNM in 1996 with a BA in Communication, and from The College of Santa Fe with a BA in Education (1998).
I taught for a year in Santa Fe before moving to Syracuse, NY in 1999. I subbed a lot for a few years, trying to get a permanent position. I worked for 3 years in a charter sc...Expand for more
hool, teaching 9th, 10th, 11th grade English, Creative Writing and Journalism over the years. In 2007 I left the charter school for a better paying position with more security and better benefits, and am currently in my fourth year at a city high school, currently teaching English 9.
In 2001 I met my future husband thanks to Match.com. We dated and lived together for 3 1/2 years before marrying in 2004. Completing our family are our "kids", two dogs (Connor and Duncan) and a cat, Jasper.
I have kept up with only two people from Biloxi High, but often think of my old friends from various schools and wonder whatever happened to them. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me or my sister Denise!
