Erin's Story

Life Wow. So it's 2007 and I'm 32. That's ridiculous. Twenties were a blur. Lots of bad relationships and bad wine. Thirties are a bit classier but a bit slower. Shots at bars have been replaced by Cakebread at dinner parties and keg-stands have been replaced with Pilates. I'm actually concerned with things like bathroom fixtures and thread-count. And I have a big goofy dog that I bought from a pet store just like they tell you never to do. I'm not very fashionable with my tea selection though...I still drink plain Lipton that does not come in a pyramid. I'm living in Chicago now and have been for 5 years. 10 years of Los Angeles before that. And a grand total of 12 years of international business travel. Too much city already...especially over there in the far East. What are they EATING there ANYWAY? Does anyone really...Expand for more
know for SURE? At this point, I'm looking forward to finding a quiet retreat in the desert somewhere with my best friend who is male and agreed to support me until I die if I get sick. (Sucker.) My career in Private Equity has been successful but I'm not rich. If I was rich, I would leave the workforce and find something more meaningful than making money. What I've learned in the past 5-6 years is that friends and family are most important. I've lost some good friends along the way and that's my only regret. I'd love to get with them today and find out all about their journeys. It's been a long road that ended up in circles for me at some points. But I'm wiser for it and am at peace. And now I'm going after the next chapter which will be entirely devoted to loving the folks in my life. Can we get another Rev together or what?
