Ernest's Story
June 2013
Time to update again. The last time I updated my status I had just started my consulting firm in Las Vegas. Well that was in 2009, and a very challenging economy made for a poor growth environment. So we packed up and moved the business to northern California. Major mistake! California is not very business friendly. After 2 years of struggling it was plainly evident that it was time to get out of California. I returned to Las Vegas in May of 2012 and it's been the best decision in years. Business is great and life is awesome. I truly love living here. Great weather, always something to do, no State income tax, and business is very strong. Truly a great place to live. Come visit some time.
March 2021
Living through the fiasco of Covid 19 has not been fun. I hate the whole mask wearing scenario. Can't dine out, no casinos open what's a man to do? It did do one thing, it made
me quit working and completely retire. Now that it's 2021 at least things ...Expand for more
are 50% open.
Had cocktails and a fine Cuban cigar last night at the Venetian. They have a great cigar
bar/lounge. Things are not normal yet but getting better. It's mid March and the temp
tomorrow will be 77. Love the weather warm or hot. Lots of new to see and do in Sin City come for a visit. You won't be disappointed.
Workplace:
Still the President/CEO of Automotive Specialist, Inc. a fixed operations consulting firm working exclusively with new car dealers and independent repair facilities. I have reduced the work load and am only in the office a couple days per week. I'm sure that given enough time, I will break 100 playing golf. LOL
March 2021
Closed the business and fully retired in August of 2019. My golf game still sucks, but I keep trying. No better place to smoke a fine Cuban cigar and have cocktails than on the golf course. Most of the courses are open again but of course with restrictions. Still a lot of fun.
Come to Sin City for a great escape.
