Ernie's Story
because i went to west leyden my freshman year and finished at east this profile pops up under both school listings. theinformation below is for east leyden side of me. for west leyden knights(i'm told both schools share the same mascot now) after i switched schools i spent my soph/jr/jr years on stage acting, which became my true love. having a misable home life i dropped out and joined the navy. this turned into a bigger fiasco.
leaving the navy i spent the next 2 years at 4 different schools (spending 1/2 year back at both east and west) leading into my last high school production at glenbard east in lombard doing taming of the shew. being 20 and still no diploma i left high school life and began my time in the work-a-day world. now you can catch up with the others in the paragraghs below.
for those of you who say i thought he'd be dead(when seeing my name) that was a possibility. the people who know me now can't even fathom the stories they hear. and hopefu...Expand for more
lly they'll never meet the jerk i was back then. 10 years after high school i was still getting high and not living up to my ideals at all. i was in one community theater show mr. roberts, and untill my marriage ti jeannie in 1986 that was the highlight of my life. it took rehab and alot of people having more faith and trust in me than i had in myself (at that time) to get through some real ruff periods.
we moved from chicago to new haven, kentucky in 2001 (yes it's been 21 years....a mafor improvement over my dating scene back then for those who remember) we have a few horses and i work in louisville as a cardiovascular tech for jewish hospital. and yes, i reclaimed my love of theater and have been active in it for the last 13 years. i miss east leyden and the stage kids more then i should, but then again we inspired each other and leaned on each other when no one else would. afterall, isn't that what friends are for. be it 15 or 50 the show must go on.
