Ernie's Story
Life
After school, I went to work for the Texas Department of Corrections (TDC) for a few years (yes, skinny little Ernie, a prison guard). After that I worked for Pawn Shops all over Killeen and Austin for about five years (taking college classes here and there) until i realized that I had to finish a degree and do something with my life. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and consider it one of the best things I ever decided to do. The Air Force assigned me to Scott AFB in Illinios (right across the river from St. Louis).
I met my wife, Kelli, on a blind date in St. Louis and we have been married for 18 years and we have two little boys: a 5 year old bouncing baby boy named Pierce Christian, and 2 Year old Drake Owen.
After six years in the Air Force installing computer networks all over the globe and having them pay for my Bachelors and Masters degrees I got out of the service in 1994 at Scott AFB IL. I decided to stay in the area to apply all that I learned in school and in the service.

networks for Anheuser Busch, American Airlines, Applebee's, Hallmark and Mastercard as a consultant. I ended my time in the private sector when the stock market crashed (taking me from Senior Director of engineering to Unemployed).
With the impending birth of my first child, I decided to play it safe and work for the government again. I now work as an Customer Service Director for the General Services Administration. My job is to work with State and local Governments on Disaster Recovery and Counter-Drug Programs. St. Louis won't be my final stop, but it is great for now. They have lots to see and they have three different professional sports teams to keep Pierce, Drake and I busy for awhile.
My hobby and side job (other than chasing my sons around) is collecting and selling vintage football jerseys (I have over 1000 now and the wife has had me certified as being insane because of the NFL)!
P.S. I had a blast at the 20 year reunion. It was great to see how we all have changed (many for the better).
I hope whomever reads this is doing well.
