Randall's Story

Life 2022 Update: This thing charges me automatically every three or four months and I never remember to shut it off! I started at Tucson High and graduated at Marana. College graduate. I attended University of Arizona, University of Maryland, Pima Community College, Clark County Community College, IPPDSE International photoengraver school. Four year Army Veteran, Pershing Missile Crewman, Field Wireman / Radio-Teletype-Rig Operator, ARMOR Crewman -(M-60A1 Battle Tanks, US Army Reserve). Offset Printing Pressman, (web & flat sheets) Postage Stamp Proving Pressman, Plate Printer (currency), Photographer, Process Photographer, Photoengraver. Dip & Dunk and Mechanized Film Processor. Contact photographer for six process-color strippers. Married over 40 years now, I've lived in Tucson, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Washington DC, Arlington Virginia, Fort Worth Texas, Bushkill Falls PA, Sun Lakes AZ. Show Low AZ. Thanks Susan! Thanks Rebecca! Hi Maddy ! Where's Mara ? << "Life is a Gamble" >> I caught a 38 pound King Salmon in Juneau Alaska. Retired and now a full time AZ resident again. Navajo County for the summers. I played competitive fast and slow-pitch softball until I was 38 years of age, the year the great Ron Hassey, World Series Champion, all-time major league record holder, and 1972 Tucson High alumnus retired from major league baseball... finally! :) In Arlington Virginia I played on the fast-pitch team Oliver & Hamilton. We won the division three years straight but never won the state championship. I played third base. (and occasional relief pitcher) (when we were way ahead) One of our team members never played and acted only as our coach. He told me more than once, "You got a great arm for playing third base." His day job was assistant baseball coach at the U.S. Naval Academy. Also: In Tucson I was the pitcher for...Expand for more
the slow-pitch team, First Southern Baptist, there on east Speedway Blvd.. We won the division! First time in history that a church team won a City League division championship!! You know what I mean. Right? A few years back I volunteered and worked to set-up, re-pack and help refurbish the oldest printing press in Arizona, a Washington Letterpress, housed at the Presidio Museum in Tubac AZ. Check it out sometime. I signed up on Classmates again in 2021. My wife would not go to the fifty year reunion because her mother got covid-19 at her memory care place. I get some interesting but maybe questionable notifications from Classmates. I wrote back a few times but nothing ever seemed to come of it. My old best friend and Army room-mate Steve Foster died on the 4th of July, a couple years ago. He was one hell of a man! You only live once! I attended the 10, 20, and 30 year reunions at both THS and Marana. It snowed here Tuesday on 5 October 2021 in PineTop AZ. Just Curious as to who gets this stuff.... If it generates some kind of notification like I get from Classmates nearly every day. There's no way to tell who's signed up and who is not. I also was just curious what exactly happened to Patty. Because I went to one of the THS get-togethers when I went down to see Steve Foster in assisted living down on La Cholla before he died... only because it was nearby, up there on Oracle Road, above Ina. I guess they didn't like me! because I stopped getting invitations from them almost immediately. << Smile >> Good Luck and lets hope the epidemic ends soon. To explain: I write here because I do not play Facebook, and recommend against it, as did the Secret Service from the very beginning, for certain groups. Turns out they were right! It's pretty obvious now. Once you sign up on Classmates, nobody knows how to sign off it! Mensa
