E. Jean's Story
Workplace
In high school, I majored in vocational power sewing and had a part time NYC job for the school board. I worked at 112th, 109th, and Graham Elementary Schools.
I wanted to be a fashion designer. After high school, my instructor (Ms. Sugarman) got me a job working as a seamstress. I didn't like it, so I got a job working for the LA City School District as a Clerk and Clerk-Steno and went to school part time majoring in Business. I even worked at Fremont for nearly 2 years in the Attendance, Boys VP, Prinicpal, SAC and Main offices.
In 1970, I began working for the Post Office as a Clerk Steno. I transferred to Houston P.O.in 1976 when I got married and was promoted to Safety Specialist after working as a clerk, clerk steno, exam clerk and personnel assistant.
Moved back home (LA), after my divorce in 1986 and continued working for the P.O. as a Safety Specialist. I was promoted to Manager, Safety & Health and received my CSHM certifcation. I've been with the Postal Service 35 years and in the Safety field for 29 years. I enjoy my job and look forward to retirement. I am now eligible for retirement and have plans to retire July 2005.
I work part-time as an Accountant for my Church, enjoy balloon decorating when I can find the time and have passion working with the teenagers in my Church as their Youth Leader. I have a faith-based website for teens.
Just recently (5-08), I moved to Jackson, MS. I have been taking care of my mother since retirement in 2005....Expand for more

I am truly Blessed! I look forward to marriage again, but it is not my priority. God is.
Recently (Jan-Feb 2011) spent almost a month in Kenya. What a wonderful experience. But nothing was greater than my visit to Israel with my church family, Robbins Memorial COGIC, Los Angeles, CA.
(2013) Well, I'm in Preston, MS assisting my 88 year old mother. I've opened a fragrance Oil and Body Oil Shop in DeKalb, MS 39328. Stop by or call for mail orders. We have some wonderful items. 601 416-7866.
(2016) Still in Preston, MS, taking care of my 91 year-old Mother. Lost my sister, my best friend, Cathy May Robinson, Spent a month with her before she passed. There is an emptiness but I know she is with the Lord.
Looking forward to continuing my Kingdom work in the US and Kenya. I'm honored to have an orphanage school in Kenya named after me.
I plan to attend our 50th High School Reunion in October.. Attended the Reunion. Elated to see my classmates and my friend Catherine Farris Wilson. Moved back to take care of mother in 2013. Mother passed 2019. Married Samuel Ondora in 2018 during one of my visits to Kenya. Been in Kenya since October 2019, return delayed because of Covid-19. Hopefully I'll be able to return in June 2020. My husband will be returning with me but will only stay for 3 months. I'll spend time between US and Kenya. I'm truly blessed.
