Eva's Story
I lived, learned, and worked in California for over 26 years before I moved to North Carolina to do the same.
Now I am in Kansas to be near my dad and his new wife (I moved before my own mother died in 2008).
My brother, Dion, died in 2001, largely due to an abusive wife. I cared for his child for 4 years until his wife got out of prison. His child went back under her care, but now she has separated...Expand for more
from her birth mother and I now legally have the position of her "mother" though I'm her aunt.
Life has been a challenge, but I still push on. I've learned a lot about how to act "normal" since my diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome (Autisitic Spectrum Disorder). Now I work in adoption support here in Kansas after years of teaching. I love serving the community and helping other kids find forever homes.
