Eva's Story
Hi there, If you're visiting this page, you are wondering what I have been up to! After leaving CLHS I went to Penn State and majored in Biology.
During our senior year in high school I began the adventure of walking with God in daily life. My relationship with Him became the determining factor in all future life decisions.
Because I felt this aspect of life is so essential,as a college student I became involved in a Christian group on campus. Upon graduation I joined their staff. I have been working with this organization ever since.
For the first 13 years I was located in Southern California and for the past 20 I have been in Budapest, Hungary. We have been involved in some very innovative programs here. It has been fun to be in on the beginnings/development of it all... If you are interested in knowing more about it, just drop me a note!
I never married... at times it makes me sad to not have a husband, children, and grandchildren, but all in all life has been good to me. I feel truly blessed for the many friends, varied experiences and adventures that have come my way!
One of my most recent experiences was in 2004 with breast cancer. It was a very positive time for me, even though one would ...Expand for more
not expect it given the circumstances. In spite of the tumor being small and caught pretty early, the doctors recommended I go through all the traditional treatments. That took about 10 months. I am now recovered from the effects of chemo and radiation and my follow-up check-ups have been good. I am trusting things will remain so, but only God knows what will be.
It is strange to have to face your own demise. You know it happens to everyone, but somehow inside you think it won't happen to you until sometime in the way, way distant future. It is kind of shocking to think that it could be tomorrow! It is not scary as much as sadness for all the things you have not yet done or seen and won't have a chance to do or see... The whole experience has given me a dual motto: Time is short and God is good... I would love to share why these two things stood out. If you are interested, drop me a note on facebook!
My interests are varied: gardening, photography, entertaining, travelling, reading, languages, music, cross stitch, furniture restoration, pets, learning/doing new things.
Hope you enjoyed finding out a little about what I have been up to these many years... it has been fun to share... have a great day!
