Eva's Story
As talkative as ever, I smile a lot. Yes, I am saved. I have two wonderful children and 3 grandchildren. My daughter lives in Orlando, my son lives in Acworth, and my brothers in Alabama.
Celebrating my second year as a professional freelance SEO content author, and enjoying my 13th year as a Paraprofessional in elementary grades. I still dabble in providing computer technical support as a volunteer, though no longer professionally. Unless you want to hire me, that is! I am still so good, I can teach a dog to drag, drop and give me five. Okay, maybe not giving me five, but I'm working on that paw-on-the-forehead-when-I-say-heal trick.
My most recent favorite anecdote from work life is what a first grader replied on his way to buses when I said, stop high-fiving everyone your germs! You just licked your hand again! He paused slightly, then looked back and said, "Nuh-uh, Mi Ru'tun. I hi-fied wi thi han. Thi the one what I licked." I had to acquiesce. After all, he had me licked with that one. :-) When I catch one with less than four chair legs on the floor, I like to quote Mr. Linder's, "You all keep all four legs on the floor now. If you fall, you gon' buss your head open and spill blood all over my carpet. I'll have to clean it up, and have to call your mother and explain it to her. Keep all four on the floor now." Times have changed, so I have to edit the gore somewhat.
Each week I mix the sound for our church services broadcast on local cable television and now on Vimeo at hillcrestlife.org. Recently, I started contributing devotionals for our website. You ...Expand for more
can hear me solo at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Palatka, Florida, and sometimes at Blessings in Welaka. Remember, God loves you so much.
Nutshell description: Adventurous, loving, creative, witty, and forgiving. I pay for unlimited long distance so I can talk as much as I listen, neither of which I get to indulge in much these days. Personal interests include music, writing, walking, computer games, desktop publishing, canoing. A Braves fan at heart, attending movies, plays, and concerts are other passions. Anyone else a proud NaNoWriMo participant or winner?
Since leaving Georgia in 1982, I lived in Hawaii, South Carolina, and twice in Orlando. I am happy. My biggest struggles include a serious food addiction, but pun intended, I am LOL at that. I'm always pursuing recovery, and your prayer is welcome, though it is better to give than receive. So, feel free to send your prayer requests!
Would especially like to hear from classmates Robin Adams, Ginger Becker, Beth Honea, Celia Kudro, Peggy Lopez, Michael Seidel, Gay Sitzler, Cheryl Wells, Rhonda Wright. Thanks. :-)
20141024 Update: Thanks, Michael, for responding. My most influential friend during our school years, I am so glad to know you are well and happy. Now, put my pink rumba panties back in the keepsake box, stop wishful thinking about sharing another spanking, and get back to work. Tsk, tsk, Mrs. Donald would have you spreading your wings over that one, and I am laughing out loud now! I wonder if anyone else in our class that year remembers what I'm talking about? Kind regards for continuing success.
