Evalyn's Story
Life
Married JD Drayton and we have 2 daughters and 1 son, 5 grandchildren(2 boys). We lived in Southern California until 1988 when we moved to a small town in Arkansas where we live in the woods in a beautiful neighborhood. I was a stay at home mom and foster mom(36 children) for 10 years. I was a volunteer at the schools and a homemaker. I visited Cheraw and La Junta every year while my parents were living. Now the 2 of us spend every summer in Colorado Springs visiting with our old school friends from Cheraw. I am on the committe for the reunion in 2005. Life has been very good t...Expand for more
o me and mine and I am thankful for all my old friends who are still my closest friends. We now have 2 great grandsons as our granddaughter married and has a 7 year old stepson they are raising and a full of life 18 month old son who is busy every minute and keeps his great grandparents very busy. They both are a joy to behold and have in our lives.
My oldest friend is Sue Dick who is 4 days older than I. Our mothers were both in the LaJunta hospital in the same room together and we lived 1/4 mile from each other. When they moved we wrote and reconnected at 18, we are still best friends.
