Life
After Acalanes, DVC for a year and then the Army and Vietnam as a terrain recon SGT in the 1st Cav. Graduated from Univ. of Arizona journalism '73. Law degrees from Berkeley '76 and Cambridge '81, working as a lawyer for newspapers and politicians (Dems) for many years in Las Vegas and have ended up as a federal judge in Manhattan. I still do a lot of hiking (currently section hiking the Appalachian Trail) and photography, and write quite a bit in addition to my work. Have several law review articles published and in draft, and well as a novel for children. Am also teaching law of war around the country and overseas.
