Evea's Story
Snce graduation from (1965) Druid High School, entered Stillman College (Fall 1965). Sophomore year, got married to John B. Rozier. Married for 23 years. During that time we had 4 children. All adults now -- two of them have children. All are successful in their chosen careers. I have 5 grands -- 2 girls and 3 boys.
Earned B.A. from Stillman in Spring 1977. Immediately worked for Dean of Students' Office one year and upon reference of the late McDonald Hughes, transferred to Southern Regional School Boards as one of several computer operator/editors for Educational magazines. While a full-time employee in various business/legal/educational environments, was recruited to return to Radio as part-time announcer -- both R&B and Gospel. Performed off and on for approximately 15 years as early morning News reporter and Public Service Programmer. For 2 years, was part-time TV Talk-Show co-host, along with Professor Roosevelt Shelton, on local television station (WCFT-TV, Channel 33).

working as a Legal Assistant to several attorneys, was encouraged to attend Law School in 1991. Attended Birmingham School of Law for one year studying Contracts, Personal Injury and Legal Research (did not return after 1st year). Was great exposure.
Worked for Federal Housing 12 years and left for semi-retirement in 2003. Since I had long ago earned the undergraduate degree with a Major and Minor in Secondary Education subjects, the immediate plan was to get hired as a Substitute Teacher to re-establish my eligibility for Alabama Teacher Certification. I worked for Hale County, Greene County and Tuscaloosa City/County Schools. Sometimes the job was challenging -- but rewarding job which I enjoyed. Employed until January 2013. I am fully retired now, volunteering occasionally in Community services.
I am a Christian and enjoy working with children and youth. Am healthy and enjoy short travel (by car). Still love to Sing, and desire to learn to play the GUITAR, to SWIM and RIDE HORSES.
