Evelyn's Story
Evelyn is from Springfield, Massachusetts. She is single. Her schools include Classical High School and the School of Hard Knocks. She later attended University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a PhD in Life. Yeah that's right, Life, She works at Channing Bete Co in S. Deerfield. (it's a publishing company)
Music Evelyn likes includes: All kinds-from rock and roll, punk, soul, motown etc had a bad Kinks obsession for a few years in college but got over it (after seeing them in concert 14 times)... But still loves Ray and Dave Davies, Not into blue grass despite what was previously stated, Love the song Skyfall by Adele. Books-admits she should read more but is too burned out after work to read much except light (?) Lisa Gardner novels. An occasional enlightening book like "Free Lunch" by David CayJohnston. True confessions: Evelyn has fallen victim to that stupid and addicting game on Facebook- yup, Candy Crush Saga. She is in Candy Crush therapy (a rigorous regimen of yoga, mountain climbing, driving fast and blasting her Alpine) however and is progressing toward Nirvana (ha) and/or freedom from Candy Crush. That's my story so far. Can't divulge the real story here- I mean really. In this day and age? forgeddaboutit! The only thing I might say is that I had a lot of fun at Classical. When I wasn't stoned or goofing off, I would do my work. I was rather outspoken in American Studies and Economics and had a very left of center type of understanding of the world. Which was not always well received by my more conservative classmates. But it was great fun to have a go-round with some of them- like John D'Agostino for one. JC you would have thought I had just come over from Russia and was plotting terrible things against Amerika (ha) the way he reacted to me. But that's what can make life fun: interacting with your peers and feeling a part ofâ¦even when you don't agree.
Well that's it for now really- I won't say anything about this horrific aging thing. I mean why bother to comment on the obvious? I really was clueless as a kid- never thought about what it might be like to be 56. Holy Shite. there I said it! I gotta take a class in how to age gracefully cuz I'm going down kicking and screaming! It's been fun reconnecting with some old friends from this website.
