Everardo's Story
Life
After graduation, I packed up and went to undergrad school at U.C. Santa Barbara. I graduated with a double BA in history and in Spanish. I spent a couple of years there trying to decide between a career in law or one in education. Law won. I moved to San Diego in 1986 to attend law school and I've been here ever since. I graduated law school in 1989, but didn't pass the bar after four tries. After several years working as a law clerk, a friend recommended me for a job managing volunteers for the AIDS Foundation. in AIDS prevention work ever since, almost eight years. I am now at a level where I'm creating and managing programs targeting hard to reach populations. I live with my partner of nine years, Brian, with a cocker spaniel and a Siamese cat. I have continued my interest in the United Nations and I now serve on the board of our local United Nations Association. I've also been instrumental in establishing an annual Model United Nations conference held at my church.
