I tried to register Susan on the Provine site, but It did not work. Her profile and story is hers and mine. I worked a year after graduating from CHS 62 for the Clarion Ledger/Jackson Daily News which was ironic because I had a Clarion Ledger paper route in south Jackson from 7th grade through high school. After one year, I worked there part time for the newspaper while attending Hinds Jr. I finished the Electronic Technology program in 1966 after twice changing my major. In June 1966, I married Susan Beck (Provine 64). In August 1966, I went on active duty for the Air Guards returning home in December. I was hired in 1/67 as an Electronic Technician by the Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg. After several months of commuting to Vicksburg, Susan and I moved there in May 67. Our daughter was born in Vicksburg in August 70. Our next move was to Ruiston, LA in August 71. I was hired as a Engineering Technician for the College of Engineering at LA Tech. This move was made to continue my education on a part time basis while working full time.Our 2nd child (a boy) was born in 1973. I received my BS degree in Business Managementin in August 1978 . On the same night Bobbie Jean Kitchens (now deceased), a high school classmate received her PhD. I was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad for 4-5 months and unemployed the rest.
