Life
After graduating from high school I received an associate degree. I was a dental assistant for ten years. I then received my bachelor of science degree in dental hygiene. I have worked in the dental field for 30 years. I am employed with Tucson Unified School District as one of 2 dental hygienists. We have the same schedule as teachers so we have the whole summer off. TUSD is the only district in the country to employ dental hygienists and have a unique program like ours. We visually screen children for oral disease...Expand for more
. If they have urgent dental needs and qualify financially, then we have a network of over 100 local dentists that will provide free care to the children. It is an incredible program and I am honored to be one of the two hygienists doing this. I have owned my home for 18 years, I have two golden retrievers and four birds. I love to travel, spend time with my family and friends, and work on my home. I can not think of anything I would change about my life unless it would be to travel more often exploring the ocean's reefs.
