Evie is from New York. Evie's schools include Riverhead High School and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.. Evie was formerly a Colorado State Senator and an elected member of the State Board of Education. She worked at the Colorado Department of Human Services and before that was a teacher for 20 years at the secondary level and at a business college. She currently volunteers for Colorado PTA as its Public Policy Director. She is also the Legislative Chair for the Business and Professional Women of Colorado.
