Faith's Story
Life
Currently, I am COO of the Autry National Center, a non-profit cultural center with two museums in Los Angeles. A CPA by training, I've had my career in non-profit arts since graduate school at UCLA. I have two extraordinary kids. Anna is 20 and living in Boston, taking a break from college (Berklee College of Music). She works at a Trader Joe's, writes music, has a band, and seems quite content for now. If any of you are near Boston, she is Anna Trumbo, and an energetic, articulate and brilliant person. Son, Tommy, is a senior in high school. A very creative visual artist, he is a ceramicist and silver smith. He's thinking of a liberal arts college, with an arts program and track team...how about Claremont somewhere?
I live in Silver Lake, a very special area of LA, near downtown and Griffith Park. Rec...Expand for more
ently separated from my spouse of 26 years, I am finding new footing as a single person. A little disorienting, but with Tommy still home, and a busy job, I am simply in transition to a really empty nest. I paint, sew, bead, and read, as well as enjoy multiple performing arts. I'm currently renting out an apartment in my now-too-big house, and its working out well.
I've been active in the Idyllwild Arts Foundation, a summer program and high school arts academy in the mountains behind Palm Springs. I went as a Sophomore from Claremont High with Lynn Fritche, Don Brinegar and Bob Sherwood, and am now on the Board of Trustees. My involvement is very satisfying, feeling that I am supporting the future of the arts.
I'm working on losing 10 pounds before next summer's reunion, but I bet everyone else is as well.
