Farhana's Story
Farhana is married to Ron Bertolet for 17.5 years. She has an 11 y/o son who is the center of her universe. Schools include Central Islip High School. She later attended Molloy College and Fordham University where she earned a Maters in Social Work. She works at New York State OPWDD since 2001 as a liscensed social worker.
Farhana's interests include gardening and nature, her 2 cats, most cats and dogs and other life forms, reading fiction, and some non-fiction, movies, dining out, soccer, New York Red Bulls. Music she likes includes John Legend, Phoenix, Queen, Lana Del Ray, Amy Winehouse, the Indie genre in general, and classic R&B. Books she likes include In Cold Blood, Jazz (novel), and tons of others. Movies she likes include How to Train Your Dragon, Dracula (1992 film), Happy Feet, UP, Up in the Air, Drive, and way too many others to list. Bang Theory and other comedy, crime, drama, and documentary stuff. She is mostly laid back and easy going, taking life as it comes, one day at a time. Farhana wants to learn how to meditate.

More about Farhana:"I have learned to accept people as they are. I believe two of the most important things you can give of yourself is your undivided attention, and acceptance. Two qualities I admire in others are kindness and humility. Intelligence and wit are high up there as well. I live by the tried, true, and simple philosophy- "treat others the way you want them to treat you", and I try to take life one day at a tme. I no longer try to please everyone: took a long time to learn that this is an impossible task. I now live by my sense of right and wrong, and if I follow my moral compass, it usually leads me in the right direction.
