Linnet's Story
I married Joseph Silva Jr. after High School and two years of college. I was a stay at home wife and we had three children we were married 7 years before our daughter was born and then we had two sons. I now have 9 Grandchildren. Joey and I got divorced after 15 years of marriage and I went to work first at the then American Savings then moved to working at a Credit Union and now the last 15 years I have worked for Valley Mountain Regional Center as a computer technician in operatoring there computer system that is a state wide data base for the our Regional Center one of 21 in the State of California. We provide services for the developmentaly delayed. As Autism is on the rise we have a very large group of young people.
My spare time is spoiling my Grandchildren one at the time my oldest Grandson is 17...Expand for more
and my youngest Grandchildren are Twins who will be 2 this month December 2009. I take care of the flowers all around the house and it fills allot of my time. I stay at home and there is always a Grandchild at my side it keeps my interest wide and they are always a joy.
I will work till I am able to collect SS and medicare as medical premiums are so high.
I still live in Stockton about 3 miles from the house I grew up in. I tell everyone I have territoral issues and need to stay in my boundaries. I live with my oldest son and his family my daughter-in-law and I get along very well. We are both happy with the arrangement we have. My son has three children two of which are the twins so my help is very much needed in this busy house and their oldest son is Autistic and keeps us on our toes all the time.
