I have retired from the Superior Court in Fresno, CA and am now living on a small farm in Rice, TX. I have 4 children and 12 grand-children not counting my step-grandchildren which bring the total to 16. Eleven are still in Fresno, CA and one is here in Texas, although much too far away for me to visit often. My oldest grand-son is getting married in December. I re-married my first husband a year ago in February (2011) after 43 years apart. His wife passed away from cancer, I was divorced (again), and the circumstances of our re-uniting are much too long and complicated to go into in this small space. I love living in the country and taking care of my chickens and garden. I always said I was a latent “Farmer’s Wife”. My husband still retains a home outside of Nashville and we spend a few months a year there and the rest of the time in Texas. I've moved well over 30 times in my life and I think often of the past and the friends I’ve left behind, but I suppose it is common to remember the goo...Expand for more
