Faye's Story
I currently live in Atlanta Georgia and work for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics as a systems engineer. I have 3 adult children 2 boys and a girl (my daughter is deceased) and a dog named Ty (Rottweiler). I have grandchildren, some in Jamestown and I try to visit at least once a year. I am blessed to have both my parents, stilling living in our old home in Jamestown. I am engaged to a wonderful man named Leonard (wedding is scheduled for 14 May 2014). I will relocate to the Hampton Roads area of Virginia but will continue to work for Lockheed.
My schools include Jamestown High School, BS from University of Arizona; MS from Old Dominion University, Post Graduate work at Nova Southeastern University (Ed.D abd). I've actually taken classes from a great many schools, including the University of Rochester.
I spent 20+ years in the USAF; I joined as an enlisted member in 1996 and received a commission in 1983. My last tours were spent in various hotspots around the world as a member of a Combat Communications Group; 5th MOB. I traveled quite a bit while in the Air Force and have vis...Expand for more
ited every state in the US except Montana and North Dakota. I was stationed in South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Nairobi Kenya (a few of my overseas tours)
I worked for various companies after I retired as a project manager, process engineer, systems engineer etc. I spent 2 years as VP of Technology for an HBCU in Virginia and taught for a while as an adjunct but decided to return to defense contracting. I have been with Lockheed for the last 8 years. Two of which were spent in Montreal Quebec. I want to be a farmer when I grow up.
I am a workaholic, with a type A personality but Iâm learning to relax. I was a competitive bodybuilder for about 15 years and ran my last marathon in New Orleans just before Katrina hit. I plan to run another by 60 but back surgeries have held up training. I love to read and I write a bit. Right now Iâm on a science fiction kick. I do rescue for large breed dogs (thus my Rotty)â¦..and on my farm (when I get it) âº, I plan to foster and train rescue dogs for the brave young men and woman who still sustain injuries ensuring our freedom .
