A brief story...day after high school graduation flew to Texas to join family (mother remarried) ...attended University of Texas, Austin...worked as SCUBA Instructor to help support myself...studied PreMed but that nor Dentistry (father and uncle's profession) was for me...took a year off... Divemaster on a liveaboard in Central America...returned to school...finally graduated with a BA Major in Business & Zoology in 1975...married a Texan, Shirley Jean McCaskill in 1976...worked for stepfather in Guatemala overseeing dredging business until 1979...daughter Arlene born 1978 (born and raised Texan)...returned to Galveston (care for dying mother in family home)...took up hotel business...worked for Marriott until 1980...son Matt born in 1981 (born and raised Texan)...returned overseas to resort hotel work...Turks & Caicos Islands until 1981 ...French Polynesia until 1982...Netherlands Antilles and Cayman Islands until 1990... divorced in 1986...Micronesia until 1994...Cayman Islands again until 1995...Malaysia until 1996...China until 1999...remarried to a Chinese, Chen Ai Lan "Savannah" in 1997... separated in 2004 ... divorced in 2008....a few other relationships over the years…Taiwan until 1999...took a year off in Crested Butte, CO (ski country where my former college roommate, Mike Klein lived) ...then in 2000 to Maldives (Indian Ocean south of Sri Lanka) to work as CEO, Crown & Champa Resorts thru end of 2017 ...then semi-reti...Expand for more
