Felicia's Story
My life of always moving have given me the chance to meet so many wonderful people and fun experiences that I never want to stop. I started out in Southern Ca. where we lived in Brea and Fullerton till I was 9. What better place to grow up as a kid then next door to Disney Land and the beach? It was here where I was introduced to Anthropology and Archeology, from all the museums I went to with school field trips and with family.
L.A. are was getting to big so the put a blind fold over my eyes and held up a map of Ca. and I marked where marked where we would live next. Luck would have it and we moved to Clearlake Oaks Ca. I was a great place to live. Right on this large lake where I could swim to my hearts content. The people up there were so down to earth and wonderful too. I miss that area and time as a kid. It was the best!
Well. mom got remarried and we moved to Manteca Ca. for a short time where I attended Jr. High. From Manteca the next move was to Lodi Ca, just up the road from the last place.
After graduating from Lodi High in 79, I went on to attend Delta Collage to get my nursing degree. However this was not to be for I got married and set up house in none other then Lodi on a 40 acer parcel of land filled with GRAPES! Go figure! Live in an area...Expand for more
filled with grape and your chances of marring a man who owns them is outstandingly high.
Living there and being married had allowed me to experince many more things then I could even dream of. We owned collector cars, which sent me into the wonderful realm of car racing! I was able to be apart of a pit crew for a group from California Coolers. Bet that name takes you back! With being in a crew came Travel and travel we did, Monteray, Long Beach, Middlands, New York and others places.
During my years out on the "ranch" I went back to school and earned my degree in Anthropology with a focused in Archeology from Calif. State Univ. Sacramento. One of my greatest achements I thought until I went to Israel for three months working at Tel Dor. All I can say is I was living the dreams of my life there. In that same year my husband and I seperated later divorced.
1999 while I was finishing up my degree at CSUS I met and married my second husband, who also happens to be a Anthropologist as well. We work together in the field and have been blessed recently with a 27 year old daughter he never knew he had.
I spend my time now teaching science and history and playing on the computer, World of Warcraft and talking to my daughter on the phone, gardening and reading.
