John's Story
I really enjoyed my years at Shamrock High School. Great people, football, girl friends and my Chevy Camaro. I went to college for two years and had started with UPS during my senior year of high school part time in the evenings (after football season). I did make a career with UPS and took early retirement from UPS May 1st 2012. My last position there was a Strategic Account Executive. I am divorced and have 3 great Children Brandon, Chelsea and Nicholas. I also have a new grand daughter "Emmy" May 2016. My son Brandon and his wife just had their second child Tyler (March 2019). He is my second grand child. I built a home in Alpharetta Georgia in April 2000 and we are still here. I had many great years of coaching my kids in sports as they grew up. It was allot of fun and I met some great parents since I coached their kids also. Some of the parents I recruited on my men's and mixed doubles tennis teams (ALTA and USTA). from UPS I feel like I am back in high school again but with a few more bucks in my pocket to enjoy the freedom of getting up in the morning and working for myself. I started my own Logistics business with a fellow associate and everyday we work to grow this business and enjoy putting in the efforts for the rewards of owning a business. Its been great. Not an easy task but so rewarding in my heart and mind. I want to help my 3 children with their careers and futures. I am so blessed to see my parents on a regular basis as well as my 3 sisters and 2 brothers since we all live here still. I was down in Destin Florida where we vacation allot and brought a kite and flew it for hours on the beach ( I was 12 the last time I did that). I also have picked up another old hobby of putting together model airplanes and cars. I go out to Stone MTN Park often to walk up and down the MTN anytime I am over that way. Its so nice to stop and smell the roses everywhere I go. There are so many beautiful things to see all around when you take the time to notice. God Bless everyone.
