Jim's Story
In 1975 I moved in with my best friend Lynda and her daughter Crystal. In 1976 we left Torrance for good and moved to far Northern California. In 1977 I adopted Crystal. I worked various jobs in construction and manufacturing. In 1986 I joined the local volunteer fire department and went back to school to take fire science and emergency medical technician classes. Five years later I was hired as a full time Fire Captain. We are both interested in wildlife rehabilitation and are members of a wildlife rescue organization. It is quite common to find a box or cage full of orphaned or injured animals somewhere in our house. We also like to travel and a road trip is almost always penciled in somewhere on our calendar.
My favorite pastime is doing genealogy and history research, some say this is my obsession. I enjoy connecting with and helping other people with genealogy and this has led to a few trips across the states to find elusive answers to my questions.
