Florence's Story
After graduation went to LA County Hospital School of Nursing. Graduated in 1965 as an RN, Worked in LA then moved bacj to San Diego, working in the emergency room at San Diego County Hosp.
Met a wonderful guy while working at San Diego County Hospital. Married in 69. Bart was in the Navy, had 3 tours overseas before he got out of the service We then moved to the midwest in 1969 and have lived in Illinois ever since. We have 2 children, a boy and a girl, and 3 granddaughters. I've worked in various hospitals, from ER to medical surgical. I currently work for a large Health care ins...Expand for more
urer helping to bring in the new coding set Have gone from working as a case manager into medical coding. Four years ago was able to start working from home, sure helps with the commute, don't have to get out on the snowy winter roads. Was going to retire this year, but my company asked me to stay on for a couple more years to help sheperd in ICD10, the new diagnosis and reimbursement system (not related to the heath care mandates).
We spend part of our summers in Denver Colorado to enjoy the mountains - Illinois just doesn't have those. Do some sight seeing and alot of fishing
