Floyd has sung roles in academic and community productions of The "Magic Flute," (Papageno) "Guys & Dolls," (Sky Masterson) title role in "Gianni Schicchi," "La Traviata," (Germont) "Madama Butterfly," (Sharpless) Sowerby's "Forsaken of Man" (Jesus) and Messiah (baritone). He has sung in Kansas City choirs: Fine Arts Chorale, Schola Cantorum, Misericord (Gregorian Chant) and the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. He has directed church music programs for about 32 years (Baptist, AF Protestant and Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic).
Floyd's interests include calligraphy, music, church, photography, classical concerts, politics, and perfecting the art of curmudgeonship.
