Floyd's Story
Studied art and literature as an undergraduate and after a 10 year hiatus not knowing what I wanted to do, I studied library and information science for graduate school. Lived in Tampa, FL, St. Leo, FL, Nantucket and Cambridge, Massachusetts and now New York City. Worked in various hotels while in school, also at a Community Mental Health Center, in a liquor store, and after getting a Master's Degree, at the New York Public Library, I ran a literacy program in Newton, Massachusetts, then worked at Harvard University, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and since 1996 have worked as Head of Technology and Digital Media at The Frick Collection. big cites in general and especially my city but also love to travel. Favorite places I visit yearly are Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Bangkok (and other cities in Thailand), Kalani on Big Island, Hawaii and sometimes stay with friends in Exuma, Bahamas. Try to squeeze in trips to new places in the US and internationally when I can. I am interested in art, fiction, history, languages, music, theater, films, cable TV, bicycling, hiking, gym, yoga, massage (especially Thai massage) and love good food and red wine. Believe in liberal, compassionate, intelligent, fair-minded politics and social justice and education.
