Cheryl's Story
Life
I have been married for 22 years to a great guy. ( 2nd marriage) Have 2 sons. Worked for DMV for almost 11 years. I have been dealing with chronic abdominal pain and adhesions since June 2002. My husband and I went to Germany in April 2005 for 2 adhesion surgeries with a Spray Gel Adhesion Barrier that has not been approved by the FDA in the US. It is quite remarkable the procedure that is done over there. The health care in general is GREAT!! I am looking at going back for a 3rd look. 7 weeks post op I got hurt at the grocery store, and it has caused more adhesions. If you know of anyone that has this terrible illness, please contact me. I have so much information on adhesions. Other than that, I have been blessed with a wonderful family, friendships, live in Oregon. I love spending time and doing things with my husband. Now that the boys are grown, we have a lot of time for each other. He runs a motorcycle repair business, and has also invented a few things and recieved patents. Now he is just working on assembly and marketing the products. It is real exciting to see an idea come to life and dreams come true. He really needs to get busy with this so I can live the lifestyle that I should be accustomed to!! :) I am no longer able to work because of my health. I really miss working, NOT DMV. It is hard being at home especially since I am still hyper active as always. My youngest ...Expand for more
son is 21 he moved to Eugene. He will be starting U of O in Jan. 2009. I believe 3 years there, and then he will be a full fledged Geologist. Right now he is just loving the bachelor life living with 3 other guys in a pretty neat older house and college kids (girls!!) are everywhere. My oldest 25 has been back home with us for 2 years after a very bad marriage. He has been very sick since Feb. of this year and not able to work. He is a man of many talents, has been in quite a few bands, plays drums, bass, lead, and has an awesome singing voice. From middle school until 5 years ago he was in a band they produced 2 CD's, were doing quite well, then they all just split and went their own way. Both of my boys have grown up racing motocross, hunting and fishing with Dad. We have been doing alot of work on our place all summer, and recently painting. I still don't think we are going to beat the rain. One part of living here I can do without! We have a very spoiled rotten Border Collie "Sadie" she is so much fun!! I love throwing the frisbee and just watching her run and jump in the air to catch it. She loves playing ball, and she has all sizes and every color. The glow in the dark one is the coolest! I hope that everyone is doing well. It has been so nice to hear from some of you on how good your lives have turned out, and how happy that you are. I'll get some pics on soon. Take Care! Cheryl
