Life
Hi everyone:
I'm still living in Sunnyvale, in fact, in the same zip code if they had them in the 60's. We've been married 40 years and have 2 adult children and 1 grandson (the best things that's ever happened to us is becoming grandparents, but bet a lot of you know that, too. He just turned 6 and I describe him as so cute, very smart and a pain in the butt).
We've been in our "starter" home for 36 years near Fair Oaks and Old San Francisco Road. The mortgage is paid, so that's a huge asset for us.
I was in the work force for awhile, phone company, law office, drug store (remember M & M...Expand for more
Drug), office manager and medical secretary. My health spiraled downhill and I haven't worked since.
Jerry (my husband) retired 4 years ago, so I consider myself retired too. He worked 33 years for Hewlett-Packard and 2 1/2 years for Agilent Technologies.
We've had huge obstacles to overcome during our marriage years, but somehow we've found that we're at our best when things are at their worst. Our marriage gets stronger all the time, even after all these years.
Can't believe we've been out of high school 42 years. My grandson says Grandma Fran is old!
