Fran's Story

Went to college after graduating from Glacier in 1970 and got a BA from the University of Washington in 1974. Worked for EPA in Washington, DC for a couple of years before returning to Seattle, then went to UC Berkeley for a master's degree in English, which I received in 1980. Got a job in the Development (fundraising) office at Berkeley and stayed there until Dec. 2001, when I took a similar job at California State University, Sacramento. ure how that happens. Jim and I are studying Italian now (the "Italian for adults who don't study or do their homework" program) and hope to travel to Italy in the next year or so. We like the heat of Sacramento and have a garden every year. Get our money's worth out of Netflix and enjoy our quiet little life. My two sisters and brother still live in Washington state, and I get up to Seattle to see them and my cousins and best friend from the UW now and again. Have remained in contact with a few people from the Class of 1970. High school is not such a great memory for me (a massive understatement). I liked college better and life after that even more.
