Frances's Story
Life
September 2, 2021
After high school, I went to BYU for a year and a half. I later transferred to ASU. As an English major at ASU, I pursued and later received my Bachelor of Arts degree. At the time, I intended to go to law school. However, a summer job led me towards a different career. Fortunately, it's one that I thoroughly enjoy.
Currently, I'm the Director of Financial Operations for the Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County. My job can be rather stressful, but I adore it. I never thought I'd like to work with numbers, but I do.

r. However, we lost Christopher to suicide in December of 2014. He was 20-years-old. The marriage didn't survive the loss, but my former husband and I continue to care about each other. I have worked hard to integrate the loss of Christopher, and I like to think I've become a resilient and arguably better human since his death. Post-traumatic growth is a sad consolation prize, but I am grateful for it anyway. I love Christopher dearly, and I am glad he is at peace.
On a happier note, my parents, siblings, and nieces/nephews continue to be a major part of my life. I love them all dearly.
I can't believe it's been almost 30 years since we graduated. I hope everyone else has had wonderful lives.
Best wishes!
