Frances's Story
Hi all classmates from 1970. My family moved to Kissimmee when I was 12/13 yrs old. I am a native Maine girl, we moved to Kissimmee to be closer to my grandmother (Dad's) mother. I was in 7th grade. Nana died 2 months after we moved to Kissimmee. Mom loved the warm weather so we stayed. One of my first friends was Donna Davis we told everyone we were related but truth was we were not. Also Claudia Crawn, Rita Yates, all of the Womack kids and many more. My Dad passed away 1969 of a heart attack in the Winn Dixie parking lot. This July will mark 50th year anniversary of Man walking on the Moon, Dad was so excited but did not get to see it happen. Love and miss you Dad. ar. I chose to complete my 2 credits needed to graduate at Mid-Florida Tech. Many of my dear friends from the class of 69, 70 and 71 have passed away. Many of us became HIPPIES of the 60 and 70's. For those of us that survived it hello and to those who did not survive May You Rest in Peace. More of my history: meet and married Joe Whitaker 2/20/71. We had 3 children Zach, Joey, and Meagan. Their Dad passed away 2007. Our oldest son Zach passed away 2014. I have 2 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. My life has been working as a Pharmacy Technician for 30 years. Lived in many states across the southern states from Florida to California. I now live back in Maine my place of birth. I hope to attend the 50 yr class reunion 2020.
