Francine's Story
Life
After high school I attended the University of Miami (FL) and graduated with my BBA (Accounting) in 1993. Met my husband Kevin while in Miami and married two weeks after graduation. I became a CPA and worked for Arthur Andersen as an auditor for one year and then as a consultant until 1999. I also got my MPA in 1995 from UM.
Our first son, Garrett, was born in 1998, and then in '99 we moved to Alaska for a 3-year military assignment (hubby is in the Army). When we made the move I hung up my suits and decided to be a stay-at-home mom! Our daughter Naomi was born there in 2000. In 2...Expand for more
002 we relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma (Ft. Sill) and we're here until summer 2008 when we'll move to Ames for our next duty station (3 years at ISU ROTC).
In 2006 we had another son, Jonah, and I'm still at home with him. When he heads off to school I'll probably try to find another career, but right now I consider myself lucky to be able to stay home and raise our children. I've also kept busy working as a contract musician and recording music, along with way too much volunteer work! My "career" as Army wife is never dull either, especially with a 15 month deployment that is almost over.
