Kim's Story
Life
Went to South Cobb my Junior & Senior year. Early on I went to Fair Oaks Elementary, Osborne Middle and, part of freshman year, at Osborne High. Finished up freshman year at Lithia Springs High and then on to Wheeler for my Sophomore year...
After leaving the condos on Clay Rd. and living in various places in Marietta/Kennesaw areas, I moved to Tampa in October of '99. I'm still doing the same thing, in terms of career, that I've done since 1983 - underwriting contract surety bonds. Still love it - never a boring moment.
I have two boys, Phillip is 25 and Jason is 29 - both have flown the nest...now I have two Jack Russells, Benny & Joon. My husband has a pomeranian and so we have a ready made family of three four-legged ankle biters.
I missed Atlanta for a few years but visit 2 to 3 times a year. With each visit, it gets easier to come back here to Tampa - traffic there has become ridiculous. Regardless, I still of think of metro Atlanta as home.
Went to the 20 year reunion and...Expand for more
had a blast. Almost talked myself out of coming because it had been just about that whole 20 years since I'd seen anyone from school but once I was there, 20 years fell away and it was a really fun night.
**UPDATE - Went to my 30 year reunion - had just as much fun as I did at the 20 year!!
I'd love to hear from anyone of you that remember who I am, hehe. Feel free to write....
School
Ms. Kolter was probably my most memorable teacher as she was for everyone, I suspect. There are so many memories, like when we went out and picked up all of those construction lights to create the big "80" on the football field for Homecoming. During the same time, we tried to drive one of the girls (sorry, I can't remember your name but you had long blonde hair) into the gymnasium. We didn't succeed but we tried really hard.
And of course, the many, many times we cruised up and down Bankhead Hwy (back when gas was really cheap, heh). Can't remember how many times we met up with friends at the carwash.
