Francis's Story
After graduation from ASU in June of 1965 I went to work for McDonnell Aircraft in ST. Louis Mo as a design engineer on the F-4 and F-101 aircraft until August of 1966. Moved back to Phoenix and started work with Goodyear Aerospace and was sent to Seattle on assignment to initial design the landing...Expand for more
gear doors on the 747 aircraft at Boeing in Renton and Boeing Field in Seattle for a year. Returned to Phoenix and released the landing gear door and wing center section design documentwtion to our facilty for build. Was engineering go between for Goodyear to Boeing engineering and manufacturing.
