Frank (Francisco)'s Story
Life
After graduation I continued school and didn't take it serious until I transferred to Chico State. I received my BA in bilingual education and went on to teach in Bolivia south america where my son (Marcos) was born. My wife Cristina and I met while going to school at Chico State. Then I came back and worked as a teacher in Hollister and took more classes at San Jose State and Hayward state; finishing my teaching certification and administrative certification.
While doing this I also taught in the San Lorenzo school district and had a few opportunities to teach at San Lorenzo High. It was a trip to be there as a teacher. Meeting some of our teachers was something else. Most of the teachers we knew were no longer there. I subbed for (Mr. Creed's class) Spanish and French classes. I took a yearbook in for the kids to see and they just laughed at how their teachers looked back then.

private university (Nur University) which has been open now since 1985. We stayed there for three years and ended up on the east coast; where I entered into the graduate program at UMass, Amherst where I completed my doctorate in school administration.
I still can't believe that it is done. I work as a Principal in an elementary school and the students all call me Dr. Anello and it still feels strange. What a trip!
Well we have been on the east coast for the past since 1985 (where did the time go?)
Update unfortunately for me I have now been divorced since 2009. Now that some time has gone by I find that I have made a lot of progress since. In 2013 I finally took the retirement step. I find that retirement has calmed me down quite a bit...not as stressed out as when I was trying to discipline students getting out of control. Students are definitely not like what we were back then...or maybe I just didn't see it.
