Frank's Story
Principal Frank L. Casillo has retired after his 45th year in education. After one year at the county office serving as a Principal on assignment working as the assistant to the superintendent. and his 36th year as a high school administrator. Prior to joining the Seminole County family in 1993 he served as teacher, coach and administrator in private parochial schools for 21 years. Mr. Casillo received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Yankton College, South Dakota in 1972. He received his Masters degree in Liberal Studies from the State University of New York at Stonybrook in 1976. He took additional course work leading to his certification in Education Administration and Supervision from Nova University and Florida State University. chool Administrators, the Seminole Association of School Administrators, and Phi Delta Kappa Educational Association. In addition, Mr. Casillo has been awarded the Florida State Thespian Administrator of the Year Award, a Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship, the Florida Association for Theatre Education Administrator of the Year 2016, and has served on the Board of Directors for the Seminole Association of School Administrators, the Board of Directors of the Longwood Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Directors of the South Seminole Rotary Club. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Beck Foundation Teacher of Excellence Award in Florida. Mr. Casillo is married to his wife Deborah, also a Seminole County Educator, and They have five children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, sports, and riding his motorcycle and enjoying his retirement.
