Life
Wow! Where have the years gone? Since graduation in '82 things have continued in a positive direction.
I did some college, but as my friends know, I was never much the studious type, so eventually I dropped out and went to work for my father at one of the family dealerships. After working at Van Dyke Dodge in Warren, Michigan for a few years I transferred to Galeana Chrysler/Jeep in Fort Myers, Florida. Twenty something years later, that is still where I live and work.
I was married for 14 years, but have since divorced. The marriage produced two incredible children that I spend as much time with as possible.
Being in the family business is a bittersweet. On one hand it has allowed for more flexibility than a typical 9-5 job. With that flexibility I have been able to travel extensively. O...Expand for more
n the other hand it demands more than a typical 9-5 job, in reality, there never is "time away from work".
Along with the travel, I have been able to try many things I never thought I would do. Among the list is scuba diving with sharks in Tahiti, skydiving from 13,000 feet, snow skiing in British Columbia and throughout the U.S., photos safari's in Kenya, was the guest in a castle in France during Le Mans, hiked extensively in Argentina, drank Mojitos in Cuba, dove cenotes in Mexico, surfed in Maui, white water rafted and rode the zip lines in Costa Rica.
LIfe hasn't been perfect all the time. I have had trying times. Overall though, life has been fantastic and it keeps getting better.
