Life
Bios - Wow, where do I start?
I've been a lot of places, seen a lot of things, and I've been incredibly blessed. I am not rich and may not have a lot of stuff, but the Lord has given me so much I couldn't ask for anything more. I have a wonderful family and good friends. I've experienced and traveled to more places than many people have in a lifetime.
After graduating college in SLO in the 1980's, I moved from N. Cal to S. Cal to follow my career in aerospace engineering. It took me way too many years to figure out that I didn't have much interest in this industry after all. After a layoff and a career change, I moved to Santa Barbara to accept an engineering position with GM in automotive electronics. I always had been interested in cars and was fortunate to join a group of engineering professionals who taught me so much... I am greatly in their debt. After a downturn in the automotive industry in the 1990's, I moved into the defense business within GM and was able to apply much of what I had learned in the commercial automotive industry to better our nation's military products. n't be avoided, our sons and daughters deserve the best equipment they can get their hands on!
I have been living in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley for the past 10 years - I love the small town feel where neighbors still pitch in to help other families, and a place where people know your first name. It reminds me of Los Gatos many years ago and the small town in New York where I spent much of my youth.
I have been married to my wife Anita for 16 years. I have three wonderful girls. I always joke with my friends that I am the King of my Castle - most folks think I'm full of it...
I've also had the good privilage to serve God as an elder in my Presbyterian church for the last 3 years. This was a blessing as it truely was a spiritually uplifting experience.
Most recently, several co-workers and I formed a small engineering company to service the military market. This is now year three, and we are holding our own. I don't know what the future holds, but its been a wild ride, and the hardest and most rewarding job I've ever had. I'd love to hear your stories!
